Does your spouse really need another

or would he/she remember for a long
time to come, a couples massage at a spa,
complete with scented candles and a
chef inspired healthy dinner after?
 
Shifting the way you think about the
holidays – the gifts, the food, the activities-
moving away from consumption and gluttony
to meaning and health can set up a lifetime
of beauty and good cheer!

Crush a cup of vi crunch and mix peanut butter
and Hershey’s unsweetened cocoa powder.
 
Add seeds, nuts and bit of dried fruit if desired.
Stir until clay like consistency.

Eat breakfast!!
I can’t stress this enough especially during holiday time.
Breakfast turns on your metabolism for the day
and when filled with protein,
lessens your cravings for treats that
appear in front of you!
 
My breakfast recommendation is

Good, pretty, delicious baked goods
do not have to be unhealthy or filled with sugar.
 
Try searching for an alternative recipe
for your favorite treat.
 
For example, pies can be made with
with an almond flour crust and little fat.
 
Fillings can be sweetened with pureed
fruits, stevia and small amounts of maple
syrup or honey.
 
I make my own chocolate bars that are
ALL healthy and far surpass anything I could buy.
 
Just melt coconut oil until it’s liquid 
Add Hershey’s unsweetened baking cocoa (experiment amount) and stir
Put in a bit of stevia  to your ideal sweetness
and a touch of vanilla extract.
 
Pour into a candy form or a paper plate.
Put into refrigerator until hard.
Break into pieces
Enjoy!!
 
Add a light protein drink on the side
and you have a complete (and fun)
healthy snack with protein, carbs and healthy fats!
